In today’s time-pressed, technology-driven, overly-scheduled world it can be challenging to find the time to stop, count to ten, and have meaningful engagement with those we care about most. Not only does it take effort, it requires focus and a commitment to be present—to be truly in the moment.
Learning to engage starts with an understanding of how to disengage from those things that distract and detract. Whether you’re 40 or 4, everyday stresses and influences can creep in and take over, causing us to be less attentive, productive, and relaxed.
At Mindful Life, we understand that today’s families may not be aware of all of the tools and techniques to effectively manage stress, let alone be able to identify the root cause or source of the stress. As parents and working professionals, we empathize. As experts in child, family and school psychology we’ve made it our mission to help reduce stress by providing mindfulness solutions for children, parents, and educators.
What makes our programs and solutions so effective is that they are rooted in the science of the brain, integrating developmental neuroscience and child development, incorporating influences from the fields of positive psychology and mindfulness.
Although we believe that a certain amount of stress is inevitable, we also believe every little positive change adds up, and that it’s never too early to learn lifelong methods for managing stress.
